Musicality

When the going gets rough and all statements seem worthless it is time to sit still, ruffle some feathers and leave the world to its own. I’ve been spending some days listening to the black bird outside my window, go walking, and tuning back into the rhythms in life. Music can have that healing effect of putting you back in touch with the world – whether it is birdsong, the wind in the trees, or footsteps across a landscape.

I’ve also had some time to pick up some music projects that I’d left to a side for a while. I’m putting melody to some of Rilke’s poems from Book of Hours. The songs are work in progress but they’ve acquired their own life now and they are ready to be shared – I’ve set up a listening room for them in the library. I’ve also uploaded some mixtapes and updated the radio and TV pages.
